Welcome to Yusuke Himeoka's webpage.
I am a researcher specializing in Systems Biology at the University of Tokyo.
Biological systems are highly diverse, dynamic, and adaptable. Unlike inanimate matter such as water or rock, living organisms can exhibit distinct responses even under identical environmental conditions.
Physics has successfully uncovered numerous laws that govern non-living systems, ranging from microscopic atoms and molecules to the macroscopic scale of planets and the universe. The core question driving my research is: do similar universal laws exist for biology?
